Most people think that the verse MATTHEW 19:4-6 proves that Jesus spoke against homosexuality.
"And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder."
First we see that this question was asked by a heterosexual audience.
MATTHEW 19:3 "The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?".
When we read the text carefully, we see that the Pharisees asked Jesus a question about a man and a woman divorcing. They didn't ask Jesus whether two gay men should get married. Jesus answered by saying that a man and a woman must stay committed in marriage.
DUE TO THIS, MATTHEW 19:4-6 IS NOT A PROHIBITION ON GAY MARRIAGES.
JUST BECAUSE THE BIBLE IS SILENT IN SAME SEX MARRIAGE, DOESN'T MEAN THAT JESUS WAS AGAINST SAME-SEX MARRIAGE.
Jesus spoke of marriage again in Matthew 19:11-12, just 5 verses later.
"But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it."
A Eunuch is commonly known as a male with his testicles crushed or removed.
Some theologians also believe that the term eunuch was referred to homosexual men because they were males without any sexual desires to woman.
Otherwise Jesus's way of saying "which were so born from their mother’s womb" would be talking about only a handful of men who are formed deformed without testicles.
Other believe Jesus was talking about impotent men.
Either way its not a command of God that a MAN should MARRY a woman and have children as it was in the law of Moses.
Isaiah 56: 3-5 "Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree. For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my Sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant; Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off."
Hence God recognizes those, who feel cast out and take everyone in his lovin arms those who believe in Him and turn towards him.
Romans 8:1 "THERE is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."
So love between two people, irrespective of gender, must be of heart! Not only of flesh!
Acts 10:15 "And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common."
Acts 10:28 "but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean"
What God has cleansed, No man or woman must call them unholy.
Jesus also stated many facts about marriages.
Some of his following teachings about marriage are:-
Matthew 22:30 "For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven."
Marriage is not recognized or performed in heaven....
Galatians 3:28 "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus."
We are not separated by gender in the eyes of God! But We will live in Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 13:4 "Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge."
Everyone is worthy of marriage! But the adulterers will be judged by God.
Revelation 19:1 states that In heaven we (believers of Jesus christ) will be brides and Jesus will be the final groom, and that will be the the FINAL WEDDING!
"Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb [Jesus] has come and His bride has made herself ready." It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. (Revelation 19:8)
"And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? So, In heaven Sexual orientation is not important in heaven. For every believer of Jesus Christ will be His Bride.
Earthly marriage is a blueprint of God's marriage in Heaven.
Marriage is a long-life commitment of Love, Trust, honor and faith!
BOTH FOR HOMOSEXUALS AND HETEROSEXUALS!
Divorce is only allowed if one commits adultery!
We become divorced from Jesus when We don't believe in Him as our savior.
Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
God knows our emotions. He will never judge you for your homosexuality, but for how Christ like you have been.
ITS NOT ABOUT WHO YOU LOVE, BUT HOW YOU LOVE.
If we add up all the commands of Jesus and God, its sums up to "LOVE OTHERS AS YOU LOVE YOURSELF".
Romans 13:9 "Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good."
Here is some info that will help better explain some scriptures on homosexuality, and God's design for His creation.
